Dr. Nima Fathi holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering; an MS in Mechanical Engineering, his secondary MS is in Nuclear Engineering, and received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Mexico (UNM). He has been working as a Research Assistant Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department of UNM since 2017. Nima has been teaching undergraduate and graduate courses focused on thermal hydraulics for more than eight years at UNM. He has 17 years of experience in the industry and academia focused on the heat exchanger design, fabrication and experimental and computational (CFD/FSI and FEA) analysis of hybrid energy systems. He is the Chair of the American Nuclear Society (ANS) 10.4 Working Group, V&V of Non-Safety-Related Scientific and Engineering Computer Programs for the Nuclear Industry and the technical member of ASME V&V 20 Codes and Standards Committee, V&V in Computational Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer.
