Ways to Apply
A freshman applicant is a current high school student (with or without college credit) or a high school graduate with no college credit earned after high school graduation.
A transfer applicant is a student who has graduated high school and has enrolled in a post-secondary institution (with or without credit earned) during a fall or spring semester.
You are an international freshman if you are not a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or are not graduating from a Texas high school after three years in residence in Texas are a student without college credit or earned college credit prior to high school graduation.
You are an international transfer student if you meet international freshman requirements and have graduated from high school or equivalent, have enrolled in a post-secondary institution, have earned college credit after high school/secondary school graduation and are not eligible for readmission.
You are a readmit applicant if you are a former degree-seeking Texas A&M undergraduate student, who does not have a bachelor’s degree and who did not officially register for the previous semester (excluding summer sessions) at Texas A&M University.
You are a Non-Degree applicant if you have a high school diploma (with the exception of a high school concurrent enrollment participant) who wishes to take specific undergraduate coursework and does not wish to pursue a degree at Texas A&M University.

We support the Texas A&M Maritime Academy, one of six state maritime academies in the nation, through our programs that combine an undergraduate degree with U.S. Coast Guard license to be a civilian officer on commercial ocean-going vessels or to serve in the armed services. These licenses prepare graduates for research, industry and maritime service throughout the world. The academy also supports the U.S. Navy through leadership and training programs to prepare you for active or reserve duty.
