About the Program

The combined Bachelor of Science in Coastal Environmental Science & Society and Master of Marine Resources Management program views marine natural resources management and policy development from both an ecological and policy perspective, which serves the needs of both the private and public sectors in a wide range of companies and agencies.

Students will begin their graduate courses at the start of their senior year, seamlessly transitioning to masters-level studies, saving time and money to jumpstart their career. You may also choose the research track for additional flexibility, which allows up to nine hours of research courses and electives, enabling you to earn your bachelor's and graduate degrees in five years.

 

To be eligible, students must:

  • Maintain a minimum 3.25 GPA and complete 90 credit hours by the fall semester of their fourth year.
  • Complete all prerequisite courses for their undergraduate degree.
  • Apply in your junior year with GRE scores and meet the same admission criteria as other Marine Resources Management graduate applicants. This includes:
    • Marine Resources Management Combined Program Application
    • Academic Transcripts
    • GRE Scores (currently waived)
    • Resume / Curriculum Vitae
    • Three Recommendation Letters
    • Students applying for the Marine Resources Management research (thesis) track must also submit a Research Track Letter of Intent.
  • Fall semester applications are due May 1. Spring semester applications are due by October 1.
